Oregon’s “exploding” beer market
Supply, distribution, branding, sales: constant issues on ever brewery’s minds. Just imagine having to add spontaneous detonation to that list!
Bend, Oregon’s 10 Barrel Brewing recently had to recall two lines of its brew – “Swill” and “Beer No. 1” – due to secondary fermentation in the bottle, which lead to over-carbonation in some cases and, you guessed it, exploding bottles. As Paste magazine reports, the company recommended disposing all bottles of the two beers immediately “while, for safety purposes, wearing protective eyewear and gloves.”
